By name and by deeds, they FEAR NOTHING! With October just around the corner, it is time to start planning your Dreadnought themed project for DreadTober.
DreadTober brings people together from all around the world to share in the hobby we all love. Last year we followed the progress of 23 DreadToberteers, as they worked on a wide variety of stompy projects. Some were attempting the challenge for the first time, others were veterans with multiple Dreadtobers under their belts. Who will answer the call in 2022?
How to Join
Collectors of every faction are welcome to participate; the only guideline is that your model should fit on a 60 mm base (or larger!). If you would like to be involved, please post your name, project and site/blog address in the comments. If you post primarily on other social media sites, feel free to provide a link so that people can find you and follow your progress. Additionally, using the hashtag #dreadtober will help people find your work.

Progress Deadlines
I will be doing a round-up of progress at the end of each week. The progress deadline is every Friday at midnight, with the aim of posting your work here every Saturday until the end of October, with a final post or two at the start of November to celebrate our successes.
If you have questions about participating please ask. Share the invitation to join with your friends and followers; the more the merrier (Dreadier?)!
Good luck everyone; eternal glory awaits!!
Finally I have a fitting project ready to go! Count me in:

ReplyDeleteProject: Foetid Bloat Drone [and more]
Blog: www.40kaddict.uk
OK, so I'm super busy with getting my Armies On Parade concept done, the Foetid Bloat Drone is part of this but Parade day is 22nd October. From my previous efforts I predict the Bloat Drone may only take 7-1o days, so what do I do with the rest of #DreadTober?
Well, once I've completed this I will focus on my Ravenwing and the 10 bikes already on my painting table may be just too much to do after the Bloat Drone uses up around a third of my remaining hobby time. So, I will prioritise the Assault bikes. They're pretty big, and there's 3 of them. Perhaps see them through to completion.
Then I have my 2 Munitorum Containers which might be handy to push forward, time permitting. After Parade Day I'll reassess what I can finish and close out the month with.
Sounds great Dave :-) I never would have picked you for a Nurgle fan, but I love the way you are painting them!
DeleteI'll be in again this year! I might even manage to finish off some of the models that have been in limbo since the last Dreadtober I was able to participate in! Don't know how well I'll do with weekly updates since I don't usually do WIPs, but I'll attempt to try. :)

ReplyDeleteProject: Varied. I've got a number of things going that could qualify, including a kitbash inspired by Mission: Dreadnought from Space Crusade, a couple of converted True Mechanicum Robots, and a take on a White Scars Venerable Dread that I'm pretty sure is unique!
