A growing sense of Dread... Dreadtober 2019!

<tap tap> Is this thing on?

It's almost that time of year, where terrifying revenants are raised to wakefulness and walk among the living once again! No not zombies, dreadnoughts!

It's almost time for Dreadtober 2019, and if you'd like to get involved please let me know either in the comments below or email me directly at moonlight@cold-moon.com - We'll need the following info:

Your Name
Your Blog Address
What you intend to complete during Dreadtober

For example, here's what I'm planning:

Joel (Mordian7th)
http://mordian7th.blogspot.com/
Legio Custodes Contemptor-Achillus Dreadnought

As per the usual, on Fridays throughout the month of October I'll collate everyone's weekly updates and get them posted up in a big ol' pile of pics on here!

Similarly while it is certainly easier if you have a blog and you're posting your updates there, I'm happy to help collate pics from other platforms (instagram, twitter and the like), though you'll likely need to email me your pics so I can get them posted up here - Found last year that linking to Instagram/Twitter wouldn't show the pics inline.

I'm no graphic designer so if any of you fine folks feel like banging out a Dreadtober 2019 banner that would be super awesome!

Cheers everyone!

Joel

  2. Gonna give this another try. Ended up in the hospital for a good chunk of last Dreadtober, so couldn't finish.

Should be finishing up my Space Wolf Primaris Redemptor dread, and painting up one of these bad boys: https://firestorm-armada.fandom.com/wiki/Broadsword_Class_Dreadnought
Fell in love with http://buckaroo13.blogspot.com's color scheme, so I'm going to try to do something very similar for my fleet.

  7. Hey Joel, sorry for bringing this to your attention. I'm also sorry because I AM a graphic designer and I spent some time trying to do you a 2019 banner but much like my hobby mojo my creative abilities up and left me and the Roy Lichtenstein pop-art banner I'd envisaged looked poop, so you're better off with the amended current one.

    Anyway, here's my plan

I've got a bit of headstart, the dread is built, based and base-coated but I know how quick my hobby speed is and it'll still be a challenge to get it done within a month.

  9. I'll probably try to do an Iron Warriors Contemptor. Might try to do my Celestial Lions Castraferrum as well. If you're still accepting large monsters, I have a couple of large Bones models I would love to use the motivation to finish off...

I tend not to do WIP posts often these days, so that part may or may not happen. I did however, get out a ETB Redemptor as well today that I might do for my Minotaurs if I'm able to. And also there's a trio of Ork Kans I need to try to finish...
